The pandemic affected many people’s lives, but it managed to improve mine. To elaborate, before the pandemic, the professional, social, and personal aspects of my life were full of commitments that pulled me in different directions. In addition, the endless multitasking prevented me from giving my full attention to a specific area. Hence, I barely had quality time for my work, wife, kids, or myself. But as fate had it, the pandemic arrived and cancelled it all. There were no more interruptions. It was quiet, awkward, and I felt my life was in limbo.
Initially, transitioning to a new lifestyle was challenging, but after three uncomfortable nudges, I gave in. First, the pandemic changed my pace from busy to idle. The long commutes, social commitments, and hectic schedules were instantly discarded. Second, the Corona restrictions did not allow in-person meetings, social gatherings, or family vacations. So, I focused on quality time with the people I cared for. Third, the cost of living increased everywhere. That is, at the mall, in restaurants, or online. So, I thought twice before spending any money or purchasing unnecessary products. In a way, I became a minimalist and learned to use, reuse, and repurpose the things I had.
To conclude, the pandemic did impact my life, yet in a positive way. It was like the world telling me, enough is enough. I am glad it turned out to be this way and that I was open to change and to adapt. Looking back, it wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t difficult either. Moving forward and as the pandemic fades away, I can see my old habits re-emerging, and I catch myself wanting to return to my old lifestyle. But, I tell myself, let’s do that tomorrow, but not today.
Creative, happy husband, and awesome papa.

Maybe it's not a good idea to shut my website down without a hardware reset button. Proceed?
Just kidding. Nothing was actually shutdown. It wouldn't have been a good idea. Do it again?
